From Humble Beginnings

All Founder & CEO Henry Barron had was an idea, drafted briefly in Adobe Illustrator. This draft would go on to convince friends, families, and hundreds of early investors that there was something concrete in this idea.

Little did they know, this draft would go on to inspire one of the finest pieces of modern engineering available for sale today.

To Next Steps

Henry and his team began working on a small, 3D-printed prototype to test the effectiveness of Henry's revolutionary oil-to-air delivery system. With a pool of oil sitting in the base to get sucked up by small servos in the upper-section, it wasn't much, but it was enough to inspire the next phase of design...

Taking Shape

While the Christmas tree method worked for the prototype, it defeated the no-mess purpose of the tree in the first place. It was time to get creative. Henry and close friend Johnny Lottery got to work on a scent-delivery system that was unlike anything anyone had ever seen. It involved single-use cartridges that would be filled with oil at production, plugged in, and disposed of. With the simple elegance of an ink cartridge from a printer, it was easy to use, simple, and cheap to produce.

Getting There

The cartridge proof-of concept was all most investors needed to pour money into development. Johnny, now filled with confidence in his engineering ability got antsy and dropped out of school at Stanford, going on to found TexiPro, a materials manufacturer. Meanwhile, with his newfound capital, Henry hired a team of engineers to refine his design. What they came up with has remained as the final scent delivery system for all generations of the Fresh Ficus™. This generation of cartridges marked the introduction of FabNature's three signatures scents: Brownfield Picnic, Algal Bouquet, and Hazy Sunset. You can buy those scents and more HERE.

Finally...

This new scent-sory system needed an exterior design as beautiful and well thought out as its interior. Henry organized a team of arborists, sculptors, and designers to create this–the current generation of FabNature art. The Fresh Ficus 3000 Deluxe™ is truly gorgeous. Indistinguishable from the trees we know and love, its leaves are as soft and smooth as a fresh PVC pipe, with the elegance of a salmon jumping out of a babbling brook.
